Course Objective Provide the students to understand the dynamic behaviour of solid materials and to learn solution techniques.
Course Content Introduction, Vector Differentiation, Angular velocities, Kinematics derivative formulas, velocity angular acceleration, generalized coordinates, Coordinate Transformations, Indicial Notations, Dyadics Transformation matrices, Inertia Properties, Jourdain's Principle and Principle of virtual Power, Generalized Active Forces, Contact Forces, Energy Equations, Integrals of Motion, Relationship between Kane's Equations and Lagranges' Equation, Holonomic and Non Holonomic constraints, Coordinate Reduction Methods Augmentations, Extractions of Information from Equations of Motion (EOM), Numerical Issues, Stiffness discontinuous Forces.
