Course Objective Provide the students to understand the behaviour of solid materials and to learn solution techniques.
Course Content Principles of Mechanics, Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, Axial Force, Moments and Shear, Stresses and Axial Loads, Strains, Constitutive laws and Axial Deformation, Bending Stresses in Beams, Shearing Stresses in Beams, Transformation of Stresses and Strains, Deflection of Beams, Statically Indeterminate Problems, Energy Methods.
