Course Objective On successful completion of this unit students will have understood the fundamentals of, • Using sedimentary structures as a key in Sedimentary Geology • Dating methods
Course Content The relationships of sedimentary structures to sedimentology and geology, bedding, basic properties of fluids, flows and sediments. Erosional structures, depositional structures in muds, sandstones and conglomerates, depositional structures of chemical and biological origin. Structures due to deformation and disturbance, study methods of sedimentary structures.
