Course Objective Aim of this course is to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to students about plastic analysis and design of steel structures.
Course Content Introduction, material model definitions, plastic hinge concept, 3D plastic interaction surface, analytical definitions for interaction surface of various cross-sections, 3D elasto-plastic static and dynamic solution algorithms, push-over algorithms for steel structures, elasto-plastic response of welded and bolted connections, elasto-plastic stability problems, code requirements for design. .
