Course Objective to provide knowledge of design of tall buildings and their scales to get familiar with structural elements and structural systems of tall buildings; to introduce basic rules of earthquake resistant tall structures; Strenght, ductility and stability requirements for them; to introduce design principles and philosopy for multistorey reinforced concrete structures; to review Turkish Seismic Code of the Practice;
Course Content Introduction, Loads and deformations, structural systems, flooring systems, approximate analysis methods, dynamic behavior, foundations, code regulations, applications. .
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
