Course Objective The aim of this course is to present basic methods for modelling and analyzing the queuing systems. At the end of this course, students are expected to know basic methods in modelling the queuing systems and analyze performances of service/manufacturing systems using thse methods.
Course Content Classification of queuing systems, discrete and continuous markov processes, birth and death processes, Markov M/M/k/m queuing systems, Little’s law, arrival and service systems, non-Markov queuing systems, semi-Markov processes, M/G/1/? systems, G/M/1/? and G/G/1/? systems, manufacturing applications.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
