Course Objective This study introduces advanced circuit topologies for high power electronics applications and teaches desing of modern ac, dc variable speed control drives used in industrial applications.
Course Content In this course Diode, Bipolar transistor, SCR, GTO, MOSDFET and IGBT are reviewed. Linear Regulator circuits and regulator devices are introduced. Switching mode power supplies and DC-DC converters circuits (Buck, boost, buck-boost, cuk, flyback, forward, Push-Pull) are analyzed and designed. Modern speed control circuits designed and operated in practically.
