Course Objective The purpose of this course is giving general knowledge of semiconductors which constitute basis of current technologies.
Course Content The structure of the material: Electron, atomic energy levels, emission and absorption, the wave structure of the material, quantum numbers, the lower energy shells, Fermi-Dirac function, the job function, the energy-band model of the material. Semiconductors: Intrinsic semiconductor, foreign addition material to intrinsic semiconductor, n-type semiconductor, p-type semiconductor, diffusion.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
