Course Objective In this course, digital electronics are fundamentals of both circuits and systems. With CMOS technology and/or BiCMOS technology, transistor based fundamental digital circuits, for providing both combinational and sequential logic, based on undergraduate course called digital electronics, it is aimed to increase the knowledge deeply.
Course Content Small-geometry MOSFETs. D.C. and switching characteristics of inverters (review). Combinational MOS logic circuits, NMOS NAND and NOR gates, CMOS NAND and NOR gates. Transmission gate logic. Bistable logic elements. Schmitt trigger circuits. Synchronous nMOS and synchronous CMOS logic, Dynamik logic. Programmable logic arrays and memories. Electrical characteristics, architecture, design methods and examples, simulation and computer aided design of MOS digital integrated circuits.
