Course Objective Give advanced knowledge of the intermediary metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and integration of these macromolecules metabolisms.
Course Content Energetics of life, Introduction to metabolism, Glycolysis, Alternative carbohydrate metabolism, Citric acid cycle and, glyoxylate cycle, Oxidative phosphorylation, Lipid catabolism, Nitrogen metabolism, Metabolism in stress conditions: hunger and diabetes. Integration of metabolism.
