Course Objective This course is aimed to explain structure, biosynthesys and biological tasks of sugar chains commonly in nature.
Course Content Concept of glycobiology, Conformations of oligosacharides, N-linked glycosylation, O-linked glycosylation, Strategies for analysis of glycan structures, Glycolipids and membrane protein glycosylation, Effects of glycosylation on protein structure and functions, Glycoprotein trafficking in cels and organisms, Carbohydrate recognition in cell adhesion and signalling, Glycosylation and disease. .
