Course Objective This course covers classical and advanced plant genetics applications in plants.
Course Content Mendel Genetics and Extensions of Mendelian Analysis: Mendel Laws, variation on dominance (codominance and incomplete dominance), various genes affecting the same character (epistasi), pleitropi, multiple alleles, lethal alleles, and environmental effect on genetics; Genetical studies in higher plants by using classical and molecular genetical methods: genetical maps; Gene regulation during plant developmentsi:Embriyogenesis; Transposable DNA elements .
