Course Objective The purpose of this course is to examine in detail the cell at the molecular level.
Course Content Nucleic acids and genes; eukaryotic and prokaryotic genomes; DNA replication, repair and rearrangements; RNA synthesis and processing; protein synthesis and regulation; the molecular composition of cells; the nucleus; protein sorting and transport; metabolism; the cytoskeleton and cell motility; the cell surface and extracellular matrix; cell signaling; the cell cycle and cancer .
