Course Objective The aim of this course is to enable the student to know current and evidence-based approaches in the treatment and care of women with lower urinary tract complaints and their families, to follow clinical guidelines, and to gain knowledge and skills on creating health education programs in this direction.
Course Content This course includes information and practices about the current and evidence based approaches in the treatment and care of women with lower urinary tract system symptoms and their families, clinical guidelines about urogynecology and the development of education programs on this subject for healthy/ill women and their families.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1She/he explains the current and evidence based approaches about the treatment and care of women with lower urinary tract system symptoms and their families
2She/he tells about the historical development of urogynecology nursing
3She/he explains the definition, prevalence, etiology and the effects on quality of life in chronic pelvic pain, in a different way
4She/he explains the treatment, rehabilitation and nursing care of chronic pelvic pain
5She/he administers the questionnaires used in the evaluation of sexual function in urogynecology
6She/he designs education programs for healthy/ill women and for health professionals, or plans/conducts an original research about urogynecology
