Course Objective	In this course, it is aimed that students gain knowledge and skills in the prenatal, birth and postnatal care of the mother and the baby in primary health care institutions, recognizing and managing normal situations, recognizing complications, prevention and management, with an attitude that embraces the importance of safe motherhood in terms of maternal and infant health.
Course Content	Reproductive health and safe motherhood projects Causes and rates of maternal and infant mortality in the world and in Türkiye Purpose and importance of prenatal care Labor, adjustment to the postpartum period and nursing care of mother-newborn
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Students will be able to make definition of to safe motherhood and reproduction health
2	Students will be able to know percentage and reason of mother and baby death in Türkiye and World
3	Students will be able to understand importance and goal of care before birth
4	Students will be able to understand importance of following mother and baby health in pregnancy and pregnancy physiology
5	Students will be able to understand following and care of mother and baby health in birth and after birth period
6	Students will be able to develop projects about increasing mother health
