Course Objective This lesson intends to give theoretical information about women’s health and disease nursing and in this contend to help the students to obtain nursing ability and to teach the students necessary principles which will help them to correct the situations effecting the health negatively. This lesson also aims the students to gain the ability how to determine women’s physical and psychosocial health problems in their different life stages and how to develop health and nursing plans to solve problems depending on the new developments
Course Content Introduction of Women's Health And Disease Nursing, Anatomy of Female Genital Organs and Malformations,Genital Organs Physiology and Hormones, Normal Cycle and Cycle Disorders,Stages of Female life (Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology) (Menopause), Genetics and Genetic Counseling, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Approach to Patient (Information, history, physical ),Reproductive System Infections and Nursing Approach, Reproductive System Benign and Malign Tumors, Genital Organs Surgery And Nursing Approach,The Role of Nurses in Care of Patients who Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy of Nursing Process

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To be able to comprehend the concepts about protection of women’s health maintenance and development
2To be able to define the basic concepts of women s health depending on the life periods
3To be able to use and perform informations learned during the educational period of obstetric, women s health and disease nursing during the nursing process
4To be able to distinguish women’s sexual and reproductive health problems depending on the life periods
5To be able to discuss the factors affecting women s health depending on the life periods
6To be able to recognize the women s health problems and solutions in our country depending on the life periods
7To be able to apply Nursing care activities with holistic view during the nursing process
8To be able to advise solutions about the analysis of Women, family and community health problems
9To be able to continue teamwork
10To be able to obey ethic principles in nursing applications
11To be able to realize the importance of following the new developments related to obstetric, womens health and disease nursing and to comprehend the importance of research and study
