Course Objective The aim of this lecture is to describe the social, cultural and ethical values, virtues, civil rights, and social justice principles that have effects on individuals’ and institutions’ behaviors in work life with regard to managerial, organizational, institutional, and philosophical perspective.
Course Content Ethics in public and private sectors, ethical responsibilities of employees and employers, labor culture in Turkey, mafia ethics, Islamic work ethics and Protestant work ethics, “ahilik”, psychology of values, managerial values, social responsibilities of corporations, unethical behaviors in work life, duties and rights of employees and employers

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students learn the basic concepts (For instance: Moral, ethics, business ethics, values, norms, rights and duties, work wthics, social responsibility, institutionalization of ethics, ethical decision making, managerial and organizational ethical values) of the lecture.
2Students realize the role and importance of basic factors in work life such as civil rights and responsibilities, social justice principles, social and cultural values, managerial ve organizational values.
3Students realize the factors that effect actors’ behaviors in work life such as business ethics, social and cultural values, social justice principles, civil rights and duties and work ethics.
4Students explain the basic issues of work life that stems from social, cultural and ethical subjects.
5Students develop solutions for social, cultural, ethical, and value based problems of work life.
6Students develop analyisis, thoughts, and interpretetions on actors’ profiles that has taken place in work life in Turkey.
