Course Objective Comprehend the Historical Turkish dialects and the connections among them; notice the phonetic, morphological, syntactic, and lexical similarities differences of the dialects and gain the knowledge of establishing organic connections to the modern Turkish dialects.
Course Content Studying one or some of the old Turkish dialects (Köktürk, Uygur, Karahanlı, Harezm, Çağatay, Kıpçak, Old Anatolian Turkish) in terms of phonology, morphology, lexical and semantic perspectives so that students can make analyses and comparisons between those dialects.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Historical periods of Turkish voice, understand the format and syntax. Acquire the language skills of historical research in general.
2In particular Harezm, Kipchak, and Chagatai Turkish thinking about and using the methods of investigation to reach the information about the general area of ​​the Turkish language.
3To understand the source of the historical Turkish dialects of today's Turkish dialects.
4Improve the knowledge of the comparative Turkic etymology.
5Showing the correct spelling and pronunciation of words correct and good ways to improve writing and speaking skills
