Course Objective Beginning of the Ottoman legacy, Turkey brought to the present date, and approaches within the framework of sociological analysis is to examine ways.
Course Content Ottoman heritage; effect of the West and modernization endeavours; establishment of nation state and new transformations; era of multi-political party and reconstruction; the importance of 1980-1990; election of 1983 and its results; new economical choices and globalization; the effects of globalization on Turkey and the change of national politics; developments in civil area; process of adaptation to EU an effort on democratization.
