Course Objective
The aims of the course are to examine the geopraphical of the region, ancient cities, surveys and excavations in the Lycia.
Course Content
Has evaluated that the Lycia region for Lucca period. Examined that the Lycians who were fought in Troy. Comparing that the mythological episodes with the historical events. Has analyzed that the Lycia satraps under the Persian control and Attica-Delos League. Has argued out the cities where located in east, west and center Lycia. Evaluated that the tomb architecture of Lycia. Analyzed that the when Lycia Union was established and aim of the union and the extant of echoing of the League. Analyzed that the Lycians customs and the matriarchal system which was written in Herodotus. Evaluated that the social and political statute of Lycia and the differences of architecture during the Roman emperor period. Has argued that the tombs and architecture of Lycia region in the Late Roman period. Analyzed that the differences in Lycia during the Byzantine period.
