Course Objective The aims of this course: to synthesize and evaluate the views put forward by philosophers in the elimination of moral virtues such as sadness, pain, arrogance, envy, and misery. To have knowledge about the concept of virtue which is one of the basic concepts of Islamic Moral Philosophy. Examining the approaches of Muslim philosophers to virtue. Recognize the works of Islamic moral philosophers on virtue. To have knowledge about virtuous behaviors, the source of virtuous behaviors and their reflection on practical life.
Course Content 1 Sorrow, pain, arrogance in the science of morality, hased, stinging philosophers' views on elimination of moral virtues such as stinginess. 2 The concept of virtue, one of the basic concepts of Islamic Moral Philosophy. 3 Approaches of Muslim philosophers to virtue. 4 The works of Islamic moral philosophers on virtue. 5 Virtuous behaviors, the source of virtuous behaviors and their reflection on practical life. 6 To learn the Islamic moral theories and to introduce the classical Islamic moral books. 7 Midterm Examination 8 Examples of moral philosophy texts from Kindi, Farabi, Ibn Miskeveyh, Kinalizade. 9 Moral texts from Ghazali, Isfahani and Tusi. 10 Analyze and analyze concepts related to mental medicine. 11 The source of happiness in Islamic philosophy. 12 Ways to get rid of Kindi and Sadness. 13 Nasreddin Tusi and Morality of Nasir 14 Final
