Course Objective	To recognize the Classical Period Arabic Literature, to examine the literary products of this period and to be convinced about the literary, cultural, intellectual and social characteristics of the period.
Course Content	Starting from Jahiliyah period to examine the samples of poetry and prose which are the products of Classical Arabic literature and analysis of these samples in various ways. Muallaka'lar, Divanlar, Cemharatu'l-eş'ar, Makamat and Mesel type of works and the contributions of encyclopedic works to the Arab-Islamic culture.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Students will be able to read the poetry and prose samples of Arabic literature and learn about the content of them. Understands the contribution of poetry and prose products to Arab culture. Understands the role of literary products in the transfer of Arab-Islamic culture to the present.
