Course Objective The aim of music teaching theory and practice, provide an introduction to dimensions of music teaching at primary level on planning, implementation and evaluation.
Course Content Teaching basic concepts of music, music teaching programs in primary education, re-constructivism and music education, music education dimensions, public and private music education differences, the various approaches to Teaching Music: Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, Australian Aboriginal, Suzuki, African, Yamaha , improvisation, and creative music-drama theater and music technology. General characteristics of elementary school music teacher (lesson planning, execution and evaluation), Primary School music instructional media and materials, general characteristics of elementary school students in musical terms, the sound characteristics, musical memory, creativity, aesthetics, sense of rhythm, dance-movement training, improvisation, elementary music teaching methods used in class music, song and instrumental teaching in primary song selection.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
