COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The main concepts about curriculum development, the type of curriculum, the historical, philosophical, psychological, economical and sociological elements in curriculum development, the models of curriculum development and the process of the development will be provided.
Course Content Curriculum Development in Education course contains the information and the skills of basic fundamentals in curriculum development; the requirements of curriculum development; varieties of curriculum; historical, philosophical, psychological, economical and social fundamentals of the curriculum development; elements of the curriculum development objectives, content, teaching-learning process, evaluation; models of curriculum development; approaches of designing curriculum development, curriculum development process, classifying the objectives by categories, determining and writing both the basic and behavioral objectives; selecting and organizing the content; planning the teaching and testing conditions; new approaches in curriculum development and preparing practical project of curriculum.
