Course Objective To teach students the concepts and theories of crisis and crisis intervention and to give them the skills they can do in crisis intervention.
Course Content Concepts and theories of crisis and crisis intervention, situational and developmental crises, place and importance of crisis and crisis intervention in preventive mental health, stress, effective communication, effective coping skills, causes of crisis formation, approaches and skills in crisis intervention are presented and the topics are discussed. Different films about different situational and developmental crises are shown and discussed.
