Course Objective The purpose of this course is to gain the basic skills and information about educational economy and planning
Course Content educational supply and demand, relaiton of education and economy, education and development, educational finance, educational expense, human capital and training investment, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness in education, historical development of planning in Turkey and the world, educational planning models, relation of educational planning and population, relation of educational planning and the budget, techniques in educational planning and problems faced in educational planning.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Relates education, development and planning. Work out for problems
2Examines the PhD dissertations and articles on educational economy and planning in Turkey and the world.
3Monitors the developments in other countries on educational economy and planning and adapts them to Turkish education system
4Estimates the educational expenses and presents examples from other countries
5Evaluates the balance of education, manpower and employment, and examines the brain drain.
6Explains cost-benefit anaylsis and cost-effectiveness analysis from the examples of education and other industries
7Investigates global educational industry and contributes to Turkish educational policy
