Course Objective	To comprehend the importance of mathematics history for mathematics teaching. Using the historical development of mathematical concepts in designing teaching activities for mathematics.
Course Content	The nature of mathematics, the objectivity of mathematical knowledge, historical development of mathematics and its reflections to education, effects of schools of thoughts to mathematics education, developmental stages of mathematical concepts. .
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	) Students should know historical development phases of fundamental mathematical concepts
2	Students should be aware of the epistemological reasons of development of fundamental mathematical concepts
3	Students should appreciate the role of historical development of fundamental mathematical concepts on teaching of these concepts.
4	Students should use the historical development of the concepts while designing learning environments
5	Students should recognize the direction the literature on synthesis of history of the concepts and their teaching
