IME 605DESIGNING DYNAMIC AND INTERACTIVE MATHEMATICS LEARNING ENVIRONMENT2 + 01st Semester

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective The aim of this course is to have abilities of designing dynamic and interactive learning environment by using mathematics software which provides creating visual representations of mathematics concepts. In the direction of this aim, it will be studied on software of GeoGebra which is multilingual and open source mathematics software.
Course Content Philosophy of the relation between technology and learning mathematics. Dynamic Mathematics Software which are critic technology factors on learning mathematics. Recognition GeoGebra which is one of the dynamic mathematics software and main features of it. Geometry designs by GeoGebra. Algebra designs by GeoGebra. Contributions which GeoGebra provides to examine the relations among multi-representations in mathematics. Using instructions of GeoGebra. Designing original dynamic practices on several mathematics concepts.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Recognize the importance of mathematical test environment on learning that dynamic mathematics sortware provides.
2Be able to use the mathematical objects in GeoGebra for designing a meaningful dynamic composition.
3Be able to use GeoGebra insructions for carrying out assignments of designing.
4Use the potential of being able to examine the relations among multi-representations in mathematics on learning ang teaching that GeoGebra software provides.
5Be able to design learning environment on GeoGEbra environment which is mathematically meaningful, aesthetic and dynamic.
6Be able to distinguish mathematical concepts which is required dynamic test and observation.
7Have ability and self confidence of using GeoGebra platform in the lessons when it is necessary.
