Course Objective The aim of this lesson is to provide an understanding of the basic components and stages of algebraic thinking. Furthermore, it is aimed that access to mathematical abstraction and modeling in the light of different representations of various algebra concepts
Course Content The definition of algebra. Development stages of algebra in the historical process and associating of these stages with algebraic thinking whose components revealed in literature. Loaded different meanings of numbers represented by the letters. Examination of algebraic expressions with the help of various models and abstraction inferences that can be reached these. Misconceptions and solution suggestions frequently encountered in the concepts of algebra. Preparation and implementation of lesson plans related to teaching the concepts of algebra.
