Course Objective The aim of this course is to examine, evaluate various learning theories and mathematics teaching approaches which are developed in parallel with these theories and to perform applications.
Course Content Learning theories and teaching approachs in mathematics, teaching practices towards learning and thinking skills (creative and critical thinking) in mathematics, the findings and recommendations of mathematics education research towards classroom applications.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1Explain mathematics teaching theories.
2Compare learning and teaching theories of mathematics.
3Practice various learning and teaching theories of mathematics.
4Analyse difficulties which students encounter in mathematics education.
5Design leanrning plans which are prepared for teaching thinking abilitities in mathematics.
6Research for the approaches which are used in teaching and learning mathematics in recent years.
7Perform an application about a mathematics topic in the curriculum by taking into consideration of the suggestions of research findings towards mathematics teaching and learning.
