Course Objective To learn new approaches in measurement and evaluation in mathematics education and examine international comparative evaluation studies.
Course Content The nature and purpose of measurement and evaluation, analysing different evaluation models, analysing new approaches in evaluation, authentic and alternative evaluation methods, assessment and evaluation in elementary and secondary education curriculum, technology use in mathematical assessment and evaluation methods, teacher evaluation, international comparative evaluation studies (TIMSS, PISA etc.) .
