Course Objective To comprehend the epistemology of modeling related to the mathematics education. Modeling some real life situations by using manipulative or software with mathematical concepts.
Course Content Mathematical modeling process and its characteristics. Modelling and analysing real life situations by using different representations, developing strategies and techniques about using mathematics in real life problems, using observation, experiment, simulation, computers and various technologies in mathematical modeling, modelling mathematical concepts, relationships and theorems by using physical objects, picture, diagram, computer, calculator, etc.., adapting these models to student's level.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students should know the modelling cycle in mathematics.
2Students should implement, and analyze mathematical modelling to daily life problems.
3Students should follow related literature about modelling.
4Students should design a sample model eliciting activity, implement it, and evaluate the outcomes.
