Course Objective The aim of this course is to inform the material engineering students about the importance of biomaterials in materials engineering and medical fields, types of biomaterials, manufacturing techniques and developments in biomaterials, and to provide information about the interaction of biocompatible materials with body tissues. In addition, students are expected to be given the classification of biomaterials and material selection criteria for the application.
