Course Objective
CNC systems commonly used in industry, differences between CNC systems. NC code preparation methods, NC program development for systems using ISO coding system. Programming of CNC Lathes, G-Preparation Functions, M-Auxiliary Functions, Coordinate Systems, Incremental and Absolute Programming and Examples, G71, G72, G73, G70 etc. Turning Cycles, Simulation of sample NC programs, Application of NC programs on CNC machines, Programming of CNC Milling Machines, Obtaining NC codes using CAD / CAM program and transferring NC codes to CNC machines. With the help of DNC systems and DNC, it is aimed to provide the students with the knowledge of transferring NC codes to CNC machine.
