Course Objective The aim of this lecture is to introduce advanced students to the component related material behaviour, which depends on the design, manufacturing and service loading with constant and variable amplitudes.
Course Content Definition and parameters of structural durability, statistics and safety concepts, notches, mean-stresses, notch sensitivity, mean stress sensitivity, stress-strain controlled tests, fracture behavior, design concepts (nominal stress concept, structural stress concept, local stress concepts, fracture mechanics concept), Regulation (IIW, Eurocode, FKM), reduction of testing time in structural durability.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
