Course Content Periodic table and periodic properties, chemical bonding, the stacking of the sphere, metal structure, ionic compounds and properties of solid, lewis structures, valence bond theory, molecular orbital theory, acids and bases, oxidation and reduction, d-metal complexes, electronic spectra of complexes

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students use their knowledge of basic sciences and other branches of chemistry together with what they have learned from this course. Can evaluate current data by relating it to the subject.
2Evaluates chemical reactions, acquires scientific method and research skills. Has professional competence related to the course and follows and interprets current issues. Can use contemporary methods, techniques and tools in application and analysis.
3Katı yapılarda, istiflenme biçimleri ve kristal türlerini tanıyabilmek, kristal yapıların, örgü enerjilerini hesaplamak, metallerin örgü yapısını ve iletkenliklerini öğrenir.
