Course Objective To introduce the students to modern theories of, • Principles of sedimentary facies analysis, • Description of facies, • Facies assemblages and • Determination of depositional conditions and their relation with geological events.
Course Content Determine of the characteristics of the sedimentary units and interpretation of the depositional environments. Constitution of the sedimentary facies deposited in specific depositional environment under specific depositional conditions. Constitute sedimentary facies assemblages. Physical, chemical and biological condition of the depositional environments. .
