Course Objective To acquire a basic understanding of the processes and manifestations of rock deformation; to gain an understanding of how these processes relate to tectonics; to learn how to apply structural analyses in interpreting tectonically deformed terranes.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Stress and strain relationship, the concept of ellipsoid deformation, deformation of geological factors, changes in length, and the recognition of the angular shear deformations, the concept of homogeneous and heterogeneous deformation, deformation of the practical methods of measurement (multi-stage deformation analyzes), large deformation analysis and interpretation of the structures in the earth crust.
