Course Objective The fundamental purpose of this course is to explain the behavior of certain atomic nuclei in the presence of applied magnetic fields
Course Content NMR in Spectroscopy, Solutions of the Bloch’s Equations for Different RF-fields, Theory of Larmor Precession and Resonance Effects, Absorption and Dispersion of RF-energy, The Resonance Line Shapes and Half-widths, Derivation of the Kramers-Krönig Equations in NMR, Calculations of Magnetic Resonance Parameters, Spin-lattice and Spin-spin Relaxation Mechanisms, Measurements of Spin-lattice Relaxation Time T1 and Spin-spin Relaxations Time T2, Techniques of NMR Imaging
