Course Objective The effects of stress on the plant physiological and molecular level in plants is to provide the basics.
Course Content Introduction (the terminology of stress), what is stress?; caracterization of heat shock proteins; salt stress; nutrition stress; light stress; allelochemical stress; the effects of the stress on membranes; molecular adaptation in stress phsiology; the effects of tehe phytohormones on stressed plants; signal transduction in stress tolerance; apoptosis; hypersensitive reactions; biotechnology and stress tolerance.
