Course Objective To teach that research is an integral whole of biostatistics. It is an indispensable element of biostatistics in health care, and an example of an organ that helps health personnel to see, hear, sense and make decisions. To teach which biostatistical method can be applied to what problems and how to interpret the results. The purpose is to explain the importance and utilization of biostatistics in health sciences, which biostatistical methods are calculated in planning the execution and reorganization stages of the research.
Course Content Descriptions, Health services and biostatistics, Frequency distributions and descriptive measures, Table and graphic types, Normal distribution, Significance tests, Parametric significance tests, Nonparametric significance tests, Correlation and regression analysis, Sampling methods and sample size calculation, SPSS software applications.
