Course Objective The working mechanism of the heart will be taught. Heart muscle and physiological properties of the heart, ECG, circulatory system and the nervous regulation of Circulation, blood pressure and coronary circulation will be discussed.
Course Content Cardiac Muscle and Physiologic Characteristics, Cardiac Action potentials and Excitation of SA Node, The Cardiac Pump, The Electrocardiogram, Circulatory System, Hemodynamics, Vascular Characteristics and Functions, The Functions of Arterial and Venous Systems, The Microcirculation and Lymphatics, Local and Humoral Regulation of Blood Flow, Central and Peripheral Factors in The Control of Circulation, Long-Term and Short-Term Regulation of Arterial Pressure, Cardiac Output, Venous Return, Blood Flow and Cardiac Output in Exercise, Coronary Circulation, Pathophysiology of Heart Diseases

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students describe the cardiac muscle structure and the physiological properties of the cardiac muscle.
2Students take an ECG in accordance with the rules,and distinguish a normal ECG.
3Students explain the circulatory system and the Neural regulation of the circulatory system.
4Students explain the regulation of blood pressure, cardiac output and venous return.
5Students describe the basic mechanisms of the heart and circulatory disorders.
