Course Objective In this course the the plays starting from the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century will be discussed by examining their contextual, structural and functional changes over time. The aim of this course is to provide the students with an idea of how the theatre plays read are assocciated with the national, cultural and historical perspectives. The aim is to provide a conscious reading and understanding. It is aimed to discuss the plays in the light of other different resources. The course consists of varied topics concerning the evaluations depending on specific works and other sources.
Course Content The definition of American drama, types of American drama, literary periods, literary terms and concepts, methods of examining drama, techniques of researching drama will be examined theoretically and practically.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
