Course Objective The goal of the course is presenting ideological fundamentals of Turkish Revolution and sources feeding Atatürk’s ideas.
Course Content Basic characteristics of the emergence of Turkish Revolution, historical and sociological foundations supporting revolution, historical evolution of the ideas motivating Atatürk’s principles, the effects of French Revolution on Turkish revolution, the effects of rationalism and pragmatism, the evolution of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Montesque’s ideas of republic, the effects of Ziya Gökalp and Emile Durhaim.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
