COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of course is evaluating the improvements of the Byzantine buildings of the 7th to 15th centuries, the interactions with the neighbouring cultures and the stylistical features from the aspects of social, political and religious developments.
Course Content Be dominated by a large majority of structures built in the Late Byzantine Period, the innovations brought by these structures and discuss the contributions of the cultures influenced by the environment, identify the stylistic and regional farklıklar farklıklarının comments can be made over, in the light of previously learned information about the student to discuss the Byzantine architecture, to comment, the level of research that can thereafter.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Will be able to describe the buildings of the Late Byzantine period.

3Will be able to know and discuss the effects of the neighbouring cultures and their influences on the buildings of the Late Byzantine period.
4Will be able to analyze the stylistical differences during the Late Byzantine period.
5Will be able to make interpretion about the regional differences.
6Will be able to make interpretion about the buildings belong to the period of Latin Invasion.
7Will be able to have detailed information to discuss, interpret, and research on Byzantine architecture.
