Course Objective In this course the question of poverty is defined and related to poverty, concepts, factors, policies and major trends will be discussed. Central and local government policies in the fight against poverty, urban poverty and social views of the poor subsistence will be discussed in Turkey, will be examined within the framework of globalization and the quality of urban life
Course Content Concept of urban poverty, factors influencing urban poverty, urban poverty policies, local government and urban poverty, Turkey and urban poverty, theories of urban poverty, quality of life in cities, urban poverty and globalization, the mismatch issue of urban services and amenities
