Course Objective	The aim is to introduce the models based on macroeconomic and microeconomics foundations to reveal the existing links and correspondences among macroeconomic variables and then use those models to analyze how the economy works.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Explain macroeconomic policies and the transmission mechanisms of those policies; measure the effects of macroeconomic policies on macroeconomic variables and evaluate the effectiveness of the policies.
2	Explain the theories of economic growth and their applications in different countries; discuss the advantages and disadvantages of growth policies and practices
3	Explain the different effects of monetary and fiscal policies on macro variables under closed and open economies; provide theoretical and empirical evidence regarding the efficiency of the policies.
4	Analyze and model how economic units(households, firms, governments and the rest of the world) make optimum decisions
5	Provide economic units( households, firms, governments and the rest of the world) with advices to make a decision in their best interest
