COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of the course is to define the basic economic concepts and to explain producer and consumer behavior together with market balances both short and long term. Basic macroeconomic concepts, money, international economic relations and development issues to gain information.
Course Content Introduction to Economics at the Entry Level, Scope, Introduction to Market in Microeconomics, Consumer and Manufacturer Behavior, Market Constitution, Equilibrium, Factor Markets and Equilibrium. Under Macroeconomics, national income, definitions, levels of equilibrium, information on money supply and demand, functioning of international commercial relations, concept of balance of payments and economic growth and development concepts are evaluated especially in terms of underdeveloped countries.
