COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course is to acquaint the Nursing Division students with fundamental facts and concepts of microbiology and to familiarize them with the importance of knowing the fundamental principles of this field.
Course Content Definition of psychology, Short history of psychology, Branchs of psychology (clinic, consulting, school and education, developing, personality, industry, social, psychometry, experimental psychology) Evolution and behaviour, Devoloping of behaviour ( devoloping of first years, social devoloping) Learning principles (what is learning, classic conditioning, actual conditioning), Human learning and memory, thinking and problem solving, Language and conduction, İmpulsives and motivation, General warning attitude, Sensation and excitement, Sensations, Perception, Psychology tests, Personality theorys, Anomaly of behaviours, Attitudes and preliminary idea, Social effects on behaviour.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knowing the definition of pyschology, its subjects, its subflieds and its researchs methods.
2Knowing the definition of biological pyschology, its subjects and explaining the relationships between human nervous systems and human behaviors.
3Knowing the definition of developmental psychology, its basic concepts, principles and theories.
4Explaining consciousness and different consciousness.
5Knowing basic impulse, its functions and its biological orientations.
6Explaining the theories of learning.
7Explaining the definition of personality and its concepts and its theories.
8Explaining the definition of the stress, its biological orientations, its causes, representing pyschological reaction toward the stress, explaining the relationships between the stress and the health.
9Knowing the definition of the abnormal pyschology, the criterias for doing to differentiate between abnormal behavior and normal behavior.
10Knowing the relationships between the social consciousness and feelings.
