Course Objective
The purpose of this lesson is to supply students to have more detailed knowledge about guidance and helping them to develop a vision about tourism sector.
Course Content
The concept of tourist guide and development of guidance; main features of guiding business; terms about tourist guidance; functions of a tour guide in the process of touristic product marketing; social interaction between tourist and guide; tasks of guides, travel agency-guide relations; evaluation of the tasks of guides according to the size of the group; determining factors of guide demands; guidance education in turkey; the features of guidance education; the roles of guides on the development of tourism in Turkey; guidance lesson programs. Vocational problems, working conditions, professional organisation, guidance ethics, running professional knowledge and skills, different tour programs and giving information needed for practice.
